The first half of our weekend is highlighted by one of the big awards shows announcing its nominations in primetime on Friday, and championship weekend in college football on Saturday:

Friday:

Bones (Fox, 8 p.m.): A top gymnast has a bad day: she is murdered and her body is hit by lightning, with Brennan later discovering she had secrets. Also, Cam meets the woman who stole her identity.

Last Man Standing (ABC, 8 p.m.): Bud is surprised to find that spanking Boyd is frowned upon by the rest of the household; Kyle has misgiving about Mandy’s gift

The Carrie Diaries (CW, 8 p.m.): Carrie suffers through writer’s block; Sebastian and Maggie get stunning news; Samantha and Larissa find some common ground.

The Neighbors (ABC, 8:30 p.m.): Jackie isn’t thrilled to realize her parents get along with the Weavers better than she does; Larry intensifies his job hunt.

Grimm (NBC, 9 p.m.): The case of apparent demon possession Nick and Hank are investigating seems connected to the Wesen Council; Renard has pressing family issues.

Shark Tank (ABC, 9 p.m.): Microwaveable boneless baby back ribs (er….);  a new interface for video games; detachable Mohwaks for kids to put on their safety helmets.

Dracula (NBC, 10 p.m.): Browning wants the board to meet in the midday sun in order to literally expose Grayson; Mina and Harker move forward in their relationship.

The Grammy Nominations Concert Live! (CBS, 10 p.m.): CBS primetime fixture LL Cool J hosts this special, which will mix nominations news in with performances by Robin Thicke, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, and Keith Urban.

Saturday:

College Football, SEC Championship: Auburn vs. Missouri (CBS, 4 p.m.): I doubt anyone is going to count Auburn out of this one, no matter how hopeless it seems. We’ve all seen too much.

Christmas in the City (Lifetime, 8 p.m.): A single mom working in a department store finds the place lacking in Christmas spirit. Seriously? Who can fail to be charmed by the mood in the average store this time of year?

College Football, Big Ten Championship: Michigan State vs. Ohio State (Fox, 8 p.m.): Indianapolis has an indoor stadium, something I imagine both these teams will be very happy about, considering.

Cops (Spike, 8 p.m.): A drugged man is hiding in the bushes; a suspect tries to outrun a police vehicle while on a scooter; neighbors want to settle things with pit bulls.

The Santa Switch (Hallmark, 8 p.m.): A would-be mall Santa facing economic hard times is given the chance to take on a slightly bigger role: filling in for the actual Santa.

Atlantis (BBC America, 9 p.m.): King Minos rules that Poseidon will decide the fates of Jason and the Jasonauts, which leads to a bull-leaping event.

My Crazy Obsession (TLC, 9 p.m.): For a second straight year, we’re getting an episode based around people with seasonal obsessive quirks. You won’t believe what this one woman does with her candy canes …

Saturday Night Live (NBC, 11:30 p.m.): Paul Rudd is back in a role he’s handled ably before. Musical guest One Direction stays up way past the bedtime of most of their fans.
